Born in 1985 in an isolated coastal town, Harrington Harbour, Québec; Chelsie Joy now lives in Abu Dhabi teaching Visual Arts.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print Media from Concordia University, Montréal, Québec. Having moved around quite a bit throughout her life, she has absorbed influences from all over Canada, and East Asia. 

 

The artist is concerned with personal relationships and placin people in intimate settings; creating an uncomfortable environment, turning the viewer into a voyeur.
